Have Your Say: Milton Hydro’s Customer Engagement Online Survey Coming Soon!

Milton Hydro is inviting our Residential and Small Business customers to participate in our Customer Engagement Online Survey, an important step in shaping our electricity distribution plans for the years 2028–2032. As our community continues to grow, your insights help ensure we are planning responsibly, transparently, and in line with your priorities.

Why We’re Conducting This Survey

Every five years, Milton Hydro prepares a Cost-of-Service Rate Application for submission to the Ontario Energy Board (OEB). This application determines the distribution rates that customers pay and outlines the investments we propose to maintain a safe, reliable, and resilient electricity system.
Your feedback helps us:
  • Understand what our customers value most
  • Prioritize future system investments
  • Plan for industry changes, including new technologies and evolving energy needs
  • Improve how we communicate about our services
Your voice directly informs our planning and this survey ensures your priorities are reflected in our long-term strategy.


What the Survey Covers

The survey includes helpful background information and asks for your input in four key areas:
  1. Understanding the electricity system and Milton Hydro’s role within Ontario’s energy sector.
  2. Future planning, including how electricity needs may change over time.
  3. Our proposed business plan, including how investments may affect your bill and your service.
  4. Communication preferences, plus a few demographic questions to help us interpret feedback responsibly.
No technical expertise is required, just your honest perspective.


Who Can Participate

The survey is open to*:
  • Residential customers, and
  • Small Business customers
*One submission is permitted per customer account.


How the Survey Works

The survey takes approximately 20–30 minutes to complete.
  • Required questions are marked with an ✽.
  • To be eligible for the incentive draw, you must answer all required questions and provide your contact information at the end.
  • Your survey responses remain confidential.
    • Contact information is stored separately.
    • Individual responses will not be identified in any reporting.
  • Feedback is summarized in a report that will be submitted to the OEB as part of our 2028–2032 Cost-of-Service Application.
