Milton Hydro Welcomes New Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer
Milton Hydro Distribution Inc. (Milton Hydro) is pleased to announce the appointment of Cynthia Chan as Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer, effective July 6, 2026.
Ms. Chan brings extensive experience in the electricity distribution sector and a proven track record in financial leadership, governance, and regulatory reporting. She joins Milton Hydro from Elexicon Energy, where she currently serves as Chief Financial Officer and leads the organization’s finance function, including financial planning and analysis, treasury, taxation, reporting, and compliance. In this role, she works closely with executive leadership as well as five municipal shareholders: Belleville, Ajax, Clarington, Pickering, and Whitby.
Prior to Elexicon Energy, Ms. Chan held progressively senior finance roles at Toronto Hydro, where she was responsible for corporate accounting, external reporting, and regulatory filings. She also played a key role in strengthening internal controls and advancing governance practices.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Chan gained valuable experience in both the healthcare and not-for-profit sectors, including with Doctors Without Borders, and began her career in audit and advisory with KPMG.
Ms. Chan’s appointment reflects Milton Hydro’s continued commitment to strong financial stewardship and its focus on delivering reliable and sustainable electricity services to one of Ontario’s fastest-growing communities.
