New Phone Scam Targeting Milton Hydro Customers
Attention Customers:
Alert! Some Milton Hydro customers are being targeted by a phone scam. The scammers are cloning our 1-800 number to appear legitimate and trying to take payment via phone and advising drop off at a local Petro Canada. We will never ask you to drop off payments at a gas station, and all phone payments go through our secure system.
Please be aware that the Winter Disconnection Ban is in effect as of Friday, November 15, until Tuesday, April 30.
If you receive an email, text, call, or letter threatening to disconnect your power during the winter disconnection ban period, don't respond. You are protected from electricity disconnections for non-payment during the Winter Disconnection Ban period.
Hang up on the scammer and call our office at (905) 876-4611 if you suspect a scam.
