Hydro’s Rates are Changing January 1, 2023

On November 29, 2022 the OEB issued its Decision and Rate Order approving Milton Hydro’s 2023 distribution rates to be effective January 1, 2023. The change in rates will support sustainable growth and innovation, enabling Milton Hydro to provide better services to all customers.  
 
Below is a summary of bill impacts for Milton Hydro customers: 

• It is estimated that for Residential Customer with a monthly consumption of 750 kWh, the monthly distribution charge will increase by $1.41, or 4.63%. On a total bill basis, a typical residential customer will see an increase of $4.54, or 3.82% per month before taxes and the Ontario Electricity Rebate (OER). 

• General Service < 50 kW Class Customers consuming on average 2,000 kWh per month will see their total bill increase of $3.85 or 1.29% per month before taxes and the OER.
